1. Controller

2. In short

This website sets no cookies and uses no local storage in your browser. We only process data when you sign up for the waitlist, and otherwise only the technically necessary access data.

3. Hosting and server log files

The website is hosted by Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc., San Francisco, USA). When you visit it, technically necessary data is processed (IP address, date and time, requested page, browser type). This is needed to deliver the site and run it securely. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure operation). Log files are deleted after a short time. Your IP address may also be processed outside the EU and the EEA, in particular in the USA. The basis is the EU standard contractual clauses.

4. Waitlist

When you sign up we process your email address, your voluntary details (role, group size, topics, interest in a pricing tier) and the time of the sign-up and of the confirmation. We do not store an IP address for this. The purpose is to inform you about pilot quizzes and the launch of SnippetQuiz. The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.

5. Double opt-in and withdrawal

We use the double opt-in procedure: you receive a confirmation email and are only signed up after you click the link. The link is valid for 24 hours. We document the procedure (time of the sign-up and of the confirmation) to be able to prove your consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future, for example via the unsubscribe link in every email or by writing to us.

6. Retention and erasure

We keep your data until you unsubscribe, but no longer than the end of the pilot project and at the latest 24 months after sign-up. An entry you do not confirm within 7 days is deleted. After you unsubscribe we erase your details, except for an entry that prevents you from being contacted again; it too is deleted at the latest 24 months after sign-up.

7. Recipients and processors

The waitlist is kept on our own server at netcup GmbH (Karlsruhe, Germany); a data processing agreement is in place with the host. For sending the emails we use Brevo (Paris, France) as a processor. Encrypted backups of the database are stored at Cloudflare R2 (Cloudflare, Inc., USA; stored in the EU). The waitlist itself is kept in the EU. For the hosting of the website and the encrypted backups, Cloudflare may also process data in the USA; the basis is the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the EU standard contractual clauses.

8. Audience measurement

We measure the use of the website with Cloudflare Web Analytics (Cloudflare, Inc., USA). According to the provider, the service sets no cookies, uses no browser storage and does not track you across websites; it records page views, referrer, approximate country, device, browser and load times. Data may be processed in the USA for this; the basis is the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the EU standard contractual clauses. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a data-sparing audience measurement).

9. Cookies, fonts and external content

No cookies are set. Fonts, images and styles are loaded only from this website. The only script from another server is that of the audience measurement (section 8).

10. Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can withdraw consent at any time. Write to us at office@kaissolutions.at.

11. Complaint

You can lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in Austria the Datenschutzbehörde (dsb.gv.at), or with the supervisory authority where you live.

12. No automated decisions

No automated decision-making including profiling takes place.
